Summary/Abstract: This study aims to select the optimal design to improve the efficiency of gas-dust flow separation in different cyclone models. Three types of cyclones (1A, 2A, 3A) were designed and tested for their performance in separating three types of materials (sand, ash, and wood chips). The experimental results showed that changing several parameters can improve the separation of the gas flow from the separated material. The research conducted makes it possible to study and analyze which design is most effective for the three types of materials studied or whether a new design needs to be developed. The method of studying cyclones corresponds to the possibility of experimentally determining their maximum efficiency for certain materials, because it is known that a design that can separate all types of materials is very difficult to design. The object of this article is to examine current designs and the conditions for improving their efficiency. These studied structures are basically designed to create innovative approaches to improving their separation capacity and compactness. To achieve this goal, the following tasks must be completed: to analyze the dependence of the cyclone diameter and the possibility of separating the maximum amount, as well as the trajectory of the particles; to achieve maximum separation of finer particles or those smaller than 5 microns; to select such an angle of the cyclone that reduces the accumulation of filtered elements on the side walls of the structure; to formulate recommendations based on experiments conducted on the models, which will allow the best design to be evaluated or data to be collected for modeling a new design. The cyclones used in the experiments were designed using CAD/CAM software for 3D modeling (SolidWorks) and manufactured using a 3D printer, model Raise3D Pro2. Research into the possibility of separating materials using the designed cyclones is carried out under identical conditions, with the materials being left for 72 hours in a laboratory with controlled humidity and temperature, after which the laboratory tests are conducted. Before the experimental part begins, the amount of material to be tested is checked, after which the tanks are thoroughly cleaned and all filters are replaced to ensure suction power. In conclusion, we can summarize that the separation time for all materials decreases from 1A to 3A, with the most time required for separating wood chips and the least for sand
