Summary/Abstract: Reasons, motion, consequences of optation and migration of citizens of Czechoslovakia and USSR, are educed in the article and analysed, them social adaptation in the second half 40 - to beginning of 50th of ХХ of century. On the basis of the archived materials quantitative descriptions of оптаційних processes, and also features of social adaptation of оптантів, are set on the walks of life of Ukraine and Czechoslovakia. To scientific turnover the unknown documents of archives of the Volyn and Rivne areas of Ukraine are first brought over.
