Summary/Abstract: The public divine worship of the Orthodox Church, especially the Divine Liturgy, is not only an expression of community faith, but also a true means of religious, theological and spiritual education. I believe that conscious participation in the Mass contributes decisively to the formation of the Christian conscience, because it combines the mystical dimension of communion with God with a pedagogy deeply anchored in Sacred Scripture. In the Orthodox Liturgy there is a living experience of the Word of God. The biblical text is not only spoken or explained, but is integrated into the structure of the service, becoming part of the Church's own prayer. The faithful are thus educated liturgically, through the cyclical repetition of the Gospel and apostolic pericopes, but also through songs and prayers that make explicit and actualize the scriptural message. The Liturgy does not only convey theological information, but offers spiritual formation through existential participation.
