Summary/Abstract: The European Union's economic and social cohesion policy continued to be one of the most important financial and strategic instruments in the 2014–2020 period, promoting regional balance, sustainable development and reducing economic disparities between the Union's regions. In Romania, this policy had a significant impact, reflected both in the dynamics of public investments and in the processes of institutional, infrastructural and social modernization.
