Summary/Abstract: This study aims to explore in depth the manifestations of anxious attachment within romantic relationships, focusing on its impact on relationship quality and stability, as well as on the individual psychological well-being of the partners. Drawing on an integrative approach that combines clinical experience from psychological practice with the perspectives and rigor of academic research, the paper seeks to identify the psychological and behavioral mechanisms through which anxious attachment may contribute to the maintenance of dysfunctional or even abusive relationships, despite significant emotional and cognitive costs. Understanding these dynamics is essential for the development of effective therapeutic interventions aimed at supporting individuals in building and maintaining functional and balanced interpersonal relationships.
