Summary/Abstract: Children’s poetry represents an essential educational tool in the harmonious development of preschoolers, having multiple values: cognitive, linguistic, socio-emotional, and creative. This paper explores the role of poetry in early education, focusing on the kindergarten context, a period in which the formation of the child’s fundamental skills is decisive. The analysis of the literary texts Zdreanță, Bănuțul, and Arici, Arici, Bogorici, written by Tudor Arghezi, reveals how these creations stimulate language development, attention, auditory memory, and logical thinking through rhythm, rhyme, and expressive vocabulary. Moreover, poetry contributes to the development of empathy, understanding of emotions, and creativity, offering children the opportunity to explore the world symbolically and imaginatively. The topic is particularly relevant, since in the context of early education there is an increasing need for methods that combine learning with aesthetic pleasure and play, so that the child acquires fundamental skills in a natural and attractive way. The study highlights the importance of consciously integrating poetry into kindergarten activities, emphasizing its positive impact on the harmonious and balanced development of preschoolers.
