Summary/Abstract: The article we propose represents an extension of the linguistic study elaborated with reference to the Codru area. If in a previous article we described the terminology of the traditional clothes from this area, we consider that the lexical particularities of these dialects can also be captured from another, equally broad perspective, that of the culinary field. Thus, by capitalizing on the information obtained during the dialectal investigation and by consulting linguistic atlases, in this article, we will present the culinary terms used in the localities to which we are referring. We found that this area is a conservative one in terms of traditional dishes, although the post-December social transformations have also influenced the culinary field through the emergence of various fast-food dishes, which are consumed mainly by young people. However, on the occasion of holidays and cultural events, women prepare traditional dishes, and in everyday life, elderly people generally prefer romanian and codrenian recipes. Being an extremely vast field, the terms we have recorded are numerous and reflect both the linguistic influences that have occurred in the language over time, as well as other ways of forming words. On the other hand, many of the traditional dishes of also reflect the difficult living conditions that the people here experienced several decades ago. Through this article, our intention is to create an inventory of the culinary terms used in the Codrenian dialects and to present the ways in which they were formed or entered the language.
