Summary/Abstract: This article examines in depth the presence of Romanians in the territories beyond the Tisza River (the current Transcarpathian region of Ukraine) until 1919, focusing on historical continuity, social structures, archaeological evidence, documentary sources, and local culture. Based on extensive documentation, including archives and toponymy, the article demonstrates that Romanians on the right bank of the Tisza had an uninterrupted historical existence, despite pressures of Magyarization and Slavization.
