Summary/Abstract: Changes in the modern world and the threats associated with them are connected with changes in the perception of old age and older people. The subject of the research is the image of seniors present in young, middle-aged and older people. The author would like to use the Adjective Questionnaire by G.H. Gough i A.B. Heilbrun as a research tool to analyze the image of seniors in three age groups. The topic seems important because the senior period – on the one hand – is a time of enormous development, but – on the other hand – it can be a time of illness and limitations. This may cause fear and denial of the passage of time, especially among younger people. The analyses used statistical methods to compare the assessment of the image of seniors among young people (10 people), middle-aged people (20 people) and seniors themselves (15 people). The results showed that young peopleʼs image of seniors is often negative and marked by stereotypes. Stereotypes are less common among people working in helping professions.
