Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses а specific form of the veneration of the Serbian king Stefan Dragutin (1276-1282, t1316), who assumed the habits ofa monk before his death under the name of Theoktistos. The research is based оn the analysis of two different sources: the Life of King Dragutin, surviving the Miscellany of the Archbishop Danilo II, and the data about his tomb in the monastery of Djurdjevi Stupovi.
