Practical training of entry into illicit methamphetamine laboratories in Liberec region

Summary/Abstract: In October 2019, police officers of the Regional Directorate of the Liberec Region organized a practical training in entering an illegal methamphetamine laboratory. The aim of the training was to verify the ability of police officers assigned to the toxi section to react properly and to solve various situations in connection with illegal laboratories during the prepared scenario. Emphasis was placed both on proper documentation of procedural acts and consistent provision of criminally relevant traces, as well as on the correct use of personal protective equipment. The purpose of the exercise was to improve the work of police officers in the risk area of illegal laboratories and to detect errors, which are then often used for the benefit of offenders in defense before the court.
