Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to analyze the potential of selected tools of qualitative digital sociology for studying the construction of social reality. The observation that social reality emerges through a tangible interactive process is central to the sociology of reality construction. The sociology of emotions further highlights the significance of emotions in this process. However, prevailing trends in digital communication research often neglect this emotional and dynamic aspect of digital interactions, overlooking the interactive mechanisms through which shared interpretations emerge. The study of these processes necessitates research tools that can effectively capture the dynamics of interactions in digital spaces. I discuss a selection of qualitative digital research methods that, in my opinion, align with this characteristic. I demonstrate how these methods can be applied to analyze the construction of a shared reality in digital interactions, and advocate for their usefulness in studying the presence of emotions within these interactions.
