Summary/Abstract: The terms like smoking, tobacco and nicotine are often confused. Their importance and health impact are different. And not only that: in the common media and in the scientific literature we find completely controversial opinions and sometimes even a perceptive risk interpreted in the opposite way to what is the fact. The following overview should help to orient in this area.
