Summary/Abstract: Although departed in the Middle Ages, more specifically in the fifteenth century, the Arbëresh of Italy for centuries preserved in memory their homeland Albania, while the Arbëresh poets in their verses eternalized their deep feelings for the homeland across the sea. The foreign country makes them feel lost in space, yet they, in their loneliness, in their imagination create their own homeland. Thus, this loneliness, turns into inner creative freedom. Every Arbëresh poet in his poetry sings to the homeland with a lot of love, pain and longing. To isolate, says Kamy, to isolate and protect the ego from the hostile environment, to protect our inner freedom and not to infringe it from social relations. Besides the boundaries that distance "us" from "them", literary art represents a kind of communication between the poet and the homeland. The definition for the topic "Loneliness and isolation", in the version of the concept of the other, that is, separation from society as a hygienic distance from the "other" (also the one that can be detected precisely from loneliness and isolation) to discover the limits of itself, is of a special importance, because passing through the frames of otherness, the reader discovers the inner world of the subject of Arbëresh literature, which is marked by loneliness, isolation, alienation, as well as the struggle to preserve his being which is always in disarray. My study will be lead as “Imagology as a modern disipline in the field of literature and imagologic research of arbresh literature” The existence of the Arbëresh, endangered by the separation from the national trunk, was preserved by the created spiritual world: the popular creativity, but also the written one such as literature. Arbëresh poetry was generally created outside national borders and since the art of imagology is based on the judgment of another image on the other side of the border, then the main reflection of the views of the Arbëresh around which this creativity revolves, has the Arbëresh world as a core. We recall that Albanian literature is not very familiar with the notion of Imagology as a discipline of comparative literature and the approach to this topic in this paper will be laid on such a field.
