Summary/Abstract: Why NATO has pursued an agenda of expanding its influence beyond the trans-atlantic region into the Asia-Pacific? To what extent should NATO engage inthe dynamic and diverse Eurasian and the Indo-Pacific geopolitics? The Asia-Pacific area faces deep uncertainty as the security interests of major and regionalpowers become not only more intertwined, but often conflicting. This articleexamines this security uncertainty and the interconnectedness of interests by ap-plying a NATO perspective to geopolitical competition in Eurasia.
