Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research is to analyze and interpret lyrics and fairy tales set to music using quantitative and qualitative methods, emphasizing the identification and description of means of expression, mainly intralingual and paralingual, and, in this way, to show their stimulating potential in the process of speech development. Apart from the speech of a close person aimed ata child that works as a model in the natural speech environment, there are other stimuli shaping the development of their speech competence. At present, media also offer many entertaining and educational products that, in cooperation with other determinants, influence the cognitive, verbal, and non-verbal component of speech in preschool children, which is in keeping with our research results.
