Summary/Abstract: This study aims to analyze the research trends, productivity levels and scientific impact parameters in the field by examining the academic literature on transboundary water resources management in Central Asia using the bibliometric method. The analysis, based on 69 academic publications obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database and published between 1998 and 2025, has shown that scientific interest in the region and the subject has increased over time. While China, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan stand out in terms of the number of publications, countries such as the USA, the United Kingdom, Canada, Finland and Germany stand out in terms of citation numbers, and an imbalance between regional research productivity and scientific visibility has been observed. In addition, by identifying leading authors and journals, the main academic connections that contribute to the field have been revealed. In this context, it is seen that bibliometric analyses are an important tool not only in understanding past trends, but also in shedding light on current research gaps and developing scientific strategies for future scientific studies. It is believed that the obtained results will provide a comprehensive and systematic assessment opportunity for researchers working in the field of transboundary water management.
