Summary/Abstract: The traditional crafts currently practiced in Kosovo represent an ongoing valuable aspect of our cultural heritage. Historically, the development and diversity of these crafts in Kosovo's cities were abundant. However, today, their numbers are continually declining. Investing in the ongoing busting production of crafts, preserving traditional techniques, and enhancing the promotion and education of local traditions would provide a long term meaningful and sustainable support for artisans. The lack of a concrete initiative to revitalize certain crafts poses a threat to their survival. Concerns regarding ancient crafts are also present in other countries; however, many of these countries have successfully developed and implemented strategies, specific laws, and suitable practices to support such artistic and cultural activities. Handcrafted products are highly valued worldwide today due to their uniqueness, superior quality, and constitute significant representation of a vibrant cultural heritage. Our fieldwork has revealed that communication between artisans and citizens is both straightforward and well-received. Interactive communication with artisans is particularly favored by them. The memories of artisans remain an area for further exploration by ethnologists and present a scientific interest.
