Summary/Abstract: Throughout history, societal periods that have typically emerged through various developmental turning points are generally categorized as primitive society, agricultural society, industrial society, and information society. It is well known that changes in modes of production have brought about significant transformations in economic, political, and cultural spheres. Accelerated technological advancement, globalization, competition, and similar factors have led to changes in traditional rules, principles, and methods of conducting business. In the new economic system, the need for demand-responsive, dynamic, and constantly evolving organizations is transforming working life. As a result, the structure of work and forms of working are becoming increasingly flexible, and even virtualized. Moreover, the Covid-19 pandemic, which entered our lives abruptly in 2020, accelerated this process and led to early experiences with new working models. In the first part of this article, the transformation process of working life will be explained along with its causes. In the second part, the main working models adopted in business life will be examined. The primary goal here is to distinguish and understand the differences between the traditional standard work model and the new flexible work models. In this way, the aim is to increase awareness of new working models and to understand the changing labor dynamics and working life. Finally, the ongoing process that working life is going through will be evaluated, which also contributes to making sense of the future of working life.
