Summary/Abstract: Industrialization started in the 18th century and the first move industrialization, which had been named industry 1.0, was followed by industrial revolutions of Industry 2.0, Industry 3.0, and lastly Industry 4.0. From the very beginning to present day, it can be observed that the process of industrialization journey has led to significant breakthroughs in the social, economic and cultural domains. Firstly, in examining contemporary developments, it is important to know the characteristics of industrial revolutions. Since 2011, it appears that Industry 4.0 points to a different paradigm that defines a new phase by integrating information, communication and internet technologies into production processes. The digitalization brought into our lives by the new realities of our time, concepts such as the internet of things (IoT), big data, automation, cyber-physical systems (CPS), dark factory is believed to lead to a transformation in many areas. In this context, it is necessary to be prepared for micro (cost, productivity, etc.) and macro (economic growth, education, employment, competition, etc.) consequences. These consequences will have positive and negative impacts. The question of how Industry 4.0 will impact employment has constantly been on the agenda as it has significant ramifications. In this study, the relationship between Industry 4.0 and employment, which has been given a lot of previous thought, is discussed with a particular focus.
