Summary/Abstract: This article addresses linguistic issues related to the names of Gdańsk districts, as reported to the Telephone Language Clinic of the University of Gdańsk and/or discussed on local internet forums. It explores the rules governing hyphenated spelling (using the example of official district names) as well as problems with inflection (including the declension of names such as Chełm, Osowa, Maćkowy) and syntactic issues (in particular, the choice of prepositions in adverbials of place).
