Summary/Abstract: This essay reflects on the process of creating the Hungarian–Slovak co-production Explanation for Everything (2023), directed by Gábor Reisz, from the perspective of its costume designer. It was written in conjunction with the 2025 edition of the Hungarian University Film Award to promote environmentally and socially responsible practices in costume design.
