Summary/Abstract: This article examines the concept of priesthood in the Book of Revelation from a biblical-theological perspective. The first part focuses on the explicit priestly texts (Rev 1:6; 5:10; and 20:6). Analysis and comparison of these texts reveal that the priesthood in Revelation is always closely connected to active kingship. The eschatological character of these concepts is discussed, emphasizing the need to consider the overall theological and practical purpose of Revelation within its apocalyptic genre. This approach helps to understand the inaugurated character of the priesthood, with strong soteriological and Christological aspects that link back to Christ's unique priestly sacrifice.
