Summary/Abstract: This article aims to assess the role of artificial intelligence in the application of environmental law by identifying its benefits and limitations in the context of monitoring compliance and enhancing regulatory efficiency. The methodology involves a comprehensive analysis of current artificial intelligence technologies, including machine learning, big data analytics, and satellite image processing, alongside case studies illustrating their application in tracking environmental legislation violations, managing greenhouse gas emissions, and preventing pollution. The results indicate that artificial intelligence significantly improves the speed and accuracy of regulatory compliance monitoring, reduces administrative costs, and facilitates quicker interventions by authorities. However, the integration of artificial intelligence into climate law enforcement presents critical challenges related to transparency, accountability, and data protection. The findings also underscore the inadequacy of existing regulatory frameworks to address risks such as algorithmic errors and technology misuse. The article concludes by emphasizing the necessity for clear regulations and robust oversight mechanisms to address these challenges. It advocates for collaborative efforts among governments, international organizations, and the private sector to develop effective and ethical artificial intelligence solutions. Ultimately, striking a balance between innovation and regulation is essential to ensure that artificial intelligence reinforces climate law enforcement while upholding the core principles of ecological justice.
