Summary/Abstract: Digitalization in any field is a complex process marked by both benefits and challenges, especially when it comes to two of the most elaborate systems in a society: the administrative and the judicial system. In an era of technology and speed the digitalization of Romania’s public administration may be perceived as a slow process compared to other European administrative systems. However, in recent years significant progress has been made through the implementation of relevant initiatives and projects. Regarding the judicial system, its digitalization is an indispensable process in the context of today’s technological development. The digitalization of the judicial system undoubtedly leads to an increase in the quality of public services as well as to a faster and more efficient administration of justice. As for the connection between these two systems and their treatment (or their digitalization) within the same study the starting point is the fact that the main form of activity of public administration authorities is the administrative act whose legal regime is governed by the Administrative Litigation Law and is subject to legality control exercised by administrative litigation courts. From this perspective the digitalization of the administrative system has a direct impact on the judicial system. This paper aims to identify the main methods of digitalization in both the administrative and judicial systems using the method of exemplification and the study of current legislation while also providing certain de lege ferenda proposals.
