Summary/Abstract: The judicial system in the Republic of Albania, as a whole, and its administrative capacity, has undergone significant changes over the years, and these changes are undoubtedly attributed to legal reforms, the demand for adjudication of cases within legal deadlines to avoid delayed justice, which is certainly justice denied, as well as technological changes that require adaptation to them. According to the definition provided by Law No. 98/2016 "On the Organization of the Judicial Power in the Republic of Albania," the term "Judicial System" is defined as the system consisting of all courts, excluding the Constitutional Court, as well as the bodies of judicial governance. The changes that have reshaped the judicial system have been supported through financial assistance, projects, training, exchange of experiences, and technical assistance by numerous international organizations such as the Council of Europe, the European Commission, OSCE, USAID, etc. Although the judicial system, with all of its elements, has seen a noticeable growth in all of its components, it continues to face numerous challenges, such as long-term planning of court sessions, excessive delays in judicial processes, untimely reasoning of court decisions, and lack of transparency.
