Summary/Abstract: The article describes special tactical training of the National Drug HQ Criminal Police and Investigation Service members, prepared in cooperation with instructors from the American DEA. Eleven members of the National Drug HQ spent two days at a shooting range in Libišín near Kladno, participating in live fire exercises and tactical training led by three experienced American instructors. The training focused on improving skills in handling and shooting long service weapons, but also included pistol shooting. The training incorporated various shooting positions, use of cover, and dynamic shooting. The participants were impressed by the short time limits and strict scoring system used in DEA training. The article concludes with a discussion of the exchange of experiences and best practices between the Czech police officers and the DEA instructors. The acquired knowledge will be implemented into the shooting and tactical training of the National Drug HQ.
