Summary/Abstract: The updated Arbitration Rules of the Court of International Commercial Arbitration attached to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania entered into force on 1 January 2025. The new Rules include a number of changes in key areas of the arbitral procedure, including arbitrator appointments, the case management conference, the written phase of the proceedings, and online hearings. The new Rules are bound to make arbitral proceedings more flexible and more efficient, which inevitably means they will be quickly embraced by the arbitration community.
