Summary/Abstract: Is artificial Intelligence, which has aroused general scientific and public interest today, an opportunity that can prove useful for democracy, or is it a threat that brings radical changes and about which we should be deeply concerned? On the one hand, artificial Intelligence can be an opportunity to improve the democratic process in terms of easier inclusion in the democratic debate and thus in improving the policy-making process. On the other hand, the risks to democracy that can be generated by artificial intelligence can be false information that can cause various social conflicts and create opinions that do not represent the opinion of the public. Both as an opportunity and as a threat, artificial Intelligence will change many aspects of democracy, mostly in ways we cannot yet fathom.
