Summary/Abstract: When God created a man, He offered him free will, so that he could be a person and at the same time a subject of grace. Man therefore has the choice to accept God’s help or reject it. The commitment that comes from cooperation must take the right proportions of human effort and grace. This article will present an extraordinary figure of the last century – St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who wanted to faithfully fulfill God’s will and let Him work in and through herself. The synergy of God’s autocommunication and free human response is clearly visible in the example of her rich inner life and the testimony of her life.
