Summary/Abstract: This qualitative study examines the experiences of 15 Ukrainian women who sought refuge in the Czech Republic following the 2022 Russian invasion. The research analyzes their narratives to understand the transformation of their identities—national, social, and class—from their pre-war lives to their new lives as refugees. The study explores how aspects of their new identities, including social networks and community support, contribute to feelings of acceptance and belonging in their new society.
