120 years since the consecration of the Orthodox Confessional School in Turda

Summary/Abstract: Archpriest Jovian Murăşianu remains in the collective memory as one of the exceptional sarcedotal personalities, marking history in the city of Turda through tireless activity in the religious, administrative and socio-cultural realms, which can hardly be equaled by anyone. Being at the helm of the Romanian Orthodox Protopopiat of Turda for a long time, he dedicated himself to a true community apostolate, in times of adversity. From his pioneering activity carried out for almost four decades, we recall the construction of the magnificent Orthodox Cathedral dedicated to St. Archangels Michael and Gabriel in the center of the city of Turda, and also of the confessional school, of the headquarters of the Turda deanery etc. His memory is still alive in the community of Turda, posterity proving its gratitude towards the most significant clerical figure of Turda even posthumously.
