Summary/Abstract: The pre-anaphoral dialogue has the role of making the transition from the communion of the word of God in the first part of the Divine Liturgy to the concrete communion of Christ in the Eucharistic Liturgy. The opening greeting has its origin in the final part of the Pauline Epistles, and its recitation marked the beginning of the Eucharistic Liturgy. The pre-anaphoral greeting has undergone an evolution, from the simple form “Our Lord be with you”, to the complex one that we encounter today “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all”, which we will observe through the prism of several anaphoras from different rites and we will analyze theological and linguistic inspired by the mystagogues of the Divine Liturgy.
