Summary/Abstract: This study focused on testing students aged 12–14 using a non-standardized didactic test of geometric imagination. The test consists of geometric problems without computation and focuses on logical and combinatorial skills. This research investigation examined questions of gender, laterality, the solving time of the test itself, the frequency of correct answers to each task in the test, and a comparison of scores for the different groups studied. A comparison was conducted between pupils of primary schools and the corresponding years of multi-year grammar schools in the Olomouc region, specifically their success in solving the online test. A total of 156 pupils, 84 girls and 72 boys, entered the statistical data analysis. Schools in the Olomouc region that serve as faculty schools of the Faculty of Science at Palacký University Olomouc were contacted.
