Summary/Abstract: The peculiarities and characteristic features of transformative learning in the philosophical dimension have been studied. The value-based foundations of transformative learning and the reasons for its actualization in modern society have been elucidated. The role of transformative learning in the adaptation of an individual to new social conditions, as well as their spiritual and civic formation, has been defined. The correlation of transformative learning with such phenomena as «lifelong learning,» «adult education,» and «anticipatory education» has been substantiated.
