Summary/Abstract: The essential characteristics of the concept «state ideology» in the spiritual and value dimension are investigated. It is proven that state ideology is not exclusively a political phenomenon but represents a phenomenon of the spiritual development of the Ukrainian people. It is noted that state ideology should embody the national idea and national interests at the current stage of domestic state-building.
