Summary/Abstract: This text concerns selected amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure, whichwere introduced in the years 2021–2023. In particular, the impact of these amend-ments on the procedural position of the prosecutor and the model of the adversarialcriminal process is discussed. The considerations carried out lead to the conclusionthat the discussed amendments unjustifiably strengthen the procedural position ofthe public prosecutor, and moreover, violate the principle of the adversarial nature ofthe criminal process. All this leads to the conclusion that the indicated changes tothe criminal procedure should be assessed critically, thus postulating a return to thepreviously applicable regulations in this matter.
