Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to diagnose how the Polish Police carriesout its statutory tasks for the prevention of risky and dangerous behaviors incyberspace, as well as to reduce the number of crimes committed to the detri-ment of Internet users in Poland. The basic tasks of the Police include, amongothers, protection of life and health of people and property against unlawfulattacks violating these goods, protection of public safety and order, as well asinitiating and organizing activities aimed at preventing crimes, offenses andcriminogenic phenomena. Traditional, "analogue" forms of preventive policeactivities for the benefit of public safety and order have been extensively de-scribed in the literature, which is why the author focuses on the digital presenceof the Polish Police in cyberspace and the possibilities of its preventive impactby creating "digital patrols" modeled on traditional uniformed patrols.
