Summary/Abstract: In the past decade, Europe has witnessed successive waves of migration, dramatically intensified by armed con flicts in its eastern and southern neighborhoods. The war in Ukraine, which began in 2014 and escalated significantly in 2022, has produced one of the largest humanitarian and security crises in the region, with profound implications at Euro-Atlantic level. The objective of this article is to analyse the causes and consequences of the migration wave triggered by armed conflicts, emphasising the socio-economic, political, and security implications for Romania.
