Summary/Abstract: In modern processes of regional development an increasing role is allocated to human capital. The article presents the state of human capital and its quality in Świetokrzyskie Voivodeship. Low quality of human capital in this region does not help to achieve high gross domestic product per capita and a high entrepreneurship rate. Next the article compares the quality of human capital with the value of GDP per capita.
