Summary/Abstract: For the first time, following the teachings of M. Hrushevsky and V. Peretz, the research paper presents the literary process in the continuous development of the medieval period, namely the 14th–16th centuries, marked by many historians of literature as the most depressing period. Using mostly the historical-comparative method, we tried to understand it in more detail. Therefore, the Mongol-Tatar invasion, having slowed down the cultural and educational currents for a long time, endangered the very existence of the state. And, therefore, the factors mentioned above took place. Ukraine, having experienced many influences – Byzantine, Polish, and later Russian, was in an extremely disadvantageous position in a versatile plan. Focusing attention on the formation of personal principles through showing the development of liturgical literature, in which the Bible has always been at the center, we emphasize the importance of the canonicality of literature. And we are stoically convinced that everything is better in literature, starting precisely with the Book of Books, the influence of which lies at the basis of all creativity, not only of spiritual preachers – L. Baranovych, D. Tuptalo and other cult writers, whose heritage should be considered in education not only in the courses of ancient literature of universities, but already in secondary school. Therefore, the involvement of liturgical literature at hand is currently the most appropriate, since the role of education comes not only from the family, but also from educational institutions.
