Summary/Abstract: Given the complex and nuanced nature of asymmetric and hybrid threats on the international security agenda, intelligence products derived from the information cycle in the broad field of security-through their role in early warning-emerge as a strategic resource aimed at preventing surprise. The challenge of providing effective early warning is becoming increasingly difficult, as predictive analysis is inhe rently complex, due to the dynamic shifts in the security environment. However, from a defense standpoint, early war ning offers improved conditions for the effective management of threats through timely, progressive countermeasures. These measures, tailored to the specific context, aim to mitigate the potential for a crisis to escalate into a conflict with far-reaching and uncontrollable implications. Considering the broad spectrum of asymmetric and hybrid threats, it becomes imperative to address such aggres sion in an expanded societal framework. This approach involves raising awareness of these dangers and their con sequences beyond institutional levels, reaching civil society and the general public. In this sense, the civilian popula tion becomes a vital component of the early warning system, designed to defuse hybrid actions. Consequently, societal resilience emerges as both, a goal and a foundation for credible defense and deterrence, serving as a critical pillar in the broader effort to reduce vulnerabilities and counter asymmetric and hybrid threats and their associated risks.
