Summary/Abstract: On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the creation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the Institute for Political Studies of Defence and Military History (ISPAIM) organised, on April 2-4, 2024, the international conference “NATO - 75 Years of Collective Defence. Understanding the Past to Approach the Future”. The event took place under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defence, coordinated by the Department for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations. The conference aimed to provide a platform for deepening scientific dialogue and debates on the origins, establishment process, history and evolution of NATO, with the goal of contributing to a better understanding of the importance of the role and missions of the most powerful and enduring alliance in history.
