Summary/Abstract: The demand for accurate Romanian-English medical translations has intensified due to globalized healthcare and the need for clear, and precise medical communication. Medical terminology, rooted in Latin and shaped by science, presents unique challenges in translation, especially when balancing linguistic, cultural, and contextual nuances between English and Romanian. This paper identifies and analyzes key challenges faced by translators, including terminological discrepancies, linguistic structure, cultural context, and legal implications. The study underscores the importance of precise medical translations for patient safety, healthcare communication, and regulatory compliance. As healthcare professionals rely on accurate translations to bridge language gaps, translators must possess both linguistic expertise and cultural sensitivity. This paper advocates for continuous education and the development of standardized guidelines to enhance translation accuracy. Future research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technical advancements will further contribute to improving translation practices, thus promoting safer and more effective healthcare worldwide.
