Summary/Abstract: In response to the growing need for inclusion in (language) education, it is worth applying in an innovative way the Alexa voice assistant in an out-of-class, action-oriented context of learning to mediate. Performing real-life text mediation tasks with the assistance of Alexa allows to personalise learning, providing a practical alternative to the traditional concept of homework assignments. It increases learners’ active participation in language learning as well as their exposure to authentic language input and production of modified output, which underlies the process of language learning.
