Summary/Abstract: This article explores the legal framework surrounding atomic and renewable energy sourcesin the Czech Republic, focusing on their role in mitigating climate change. Given the rising energydemand and global environmental concerns, the Czech legal system has been adapting to thechallenges posed by climate change, energy security, and the transition to sustainable energysources. This analysis highlights the interaction between the Czech national legislation andEuropean Union (EU) directives, and addresses the legal and environmental conflicts arisingfrom the implementation of renewable and nuclear energy solutions. Furthermore, it discussesthe policy strategies and legal reforms necessary to facilitate the transition to a low‑carbon energymix while ensuring energy security.
