Summary/Abstract: Starting from the fact that the phenomenon of crime has new dimensions every day, it is extremely important to focus our attention on the causes that generate it and on the ways to correct deviant behavior. In this paper we will address the issue of juvenile delinquency and try to identify the underlying causes of the growing tendency of young people, minors, to commit illegal acts. Starting from the possible risk factors, we will try to analyze the juvenile's criminal behavior and the sanctioning system in Romania, regarding the criminal liability of juvenile offenders.
