Summary/Abstract: Worldwide, violence against women ranks first among the most frequent and systematic violations of human rights. At the level of the European Union, one woman in three has been a victim of physical or sexual violence, committed in most cases by their own husbands/partners/boyfriends, and one woman in two has faced sexual harassment.During the Covid -19 pandemic, it has been established that physical and emotional violence has increased alarmingly, if we consider the reports that have been made of calls to domestic violence helplines which, during that period, have also increased five times in some states. Cases of online violence against women have also increased, along with workplace violence and sexual harassment.
