Summary/Abstract: The offenses most frequently associated with road traffic accidents are involuntary manslaughter, bodily harm caused by negligence, and offenses against road traffic safety. The article highlights the importance of aligning crime scene investigation activities in traffic accidents with the technological advancements and the challenges specific to this field. Among modern forensic methods used on the crime scene, particular emphasis is placed on the use of 3D scanning technology and VR processing, in particular to establish the fault and to better understand the perspective of the drivers involved. These methods contribute to the reduction of the investigation time, the increase in the accuracy of collected evidence, and consequently improving the efficiency of resolving cases. Challenges related to interpreting traces at the scene and practical solutions to overcome such difficulties, reflect upon the importance of personnel training and inter-institutional cooperation between the authorities responsible for this area, a swift and accurate investigation of road traffic accidents being conducted, thereby.
