Summary/Abstract: Volunteering in pastoral care is not simply an optional activity; it is a vitalexpression of the Church’s missionary nature and the corresponsibility of all the bap-tized. Although volunteering has its limits – conditioned by personal motivation, avail-ability of time, and the environment – it also offers unique and irreplaceable opportu-nities for joy, evangelization, community building, and effective pastoral outreach. The development of a supportive environment, intentional accompaniment, and thefostering of authentic missionary conversion are essential tasks for the Church’s lead-ership at every level. When rightly understood and supported, volunteering becomesa living sign of the Church’s journey toward a more synodal, missionary future, whereevery believer is invited to bear the Gospel to the world.
